Safety First

August 28, 2008 on 2:39 pm | In life | No Comments

Before using any diet products like Fenphedra it is a very good idea to look at reviews and articles besides just the sales sites to see if the products are safe, or will do what you hope they will do. Sometimes it can help you to understand the product ingredients better, or see if a product is mislabeled, or misleading. Take care of your health and always check every possible means of information you can find on medications, prescription or otherwise. Just because they are over the counter does not always mean they are safe. No diet or amount of weight lost is worth risking your health for. There are great products on the market, make sure the one you choose is safe.

Fit and Healthy Takes Help

August 28, 2008 on 2:27 pm | In life | No Comments

Weight loss pills can help a great deal especially when you have a seditary job like I do. There are times when I need help getting over a hump, or can’t exercise as much as I should and weight loss pills give my metabolism that extra little boost it needs to keep from becoming stagnant. Most of all there are times when I just can’t seem to control my appetite. Most of the time I’m okay but certain times of the month, or even at other times for no seemingly understandable reason at all, I just can’t control my desire to eat and weight loss pills help for those times. All in all, I am really happy with how things are going with my weight loss plans. Hopefully by next spring I’ll be ready to jump up on the Tennessee Walker I’m hoping to bring home here, and ride again. I miss riding.

Break or Back Breaking?

August 28, 2008 on 2:22 pm | In life | No Comments

I have been so busy lately that I barely have any time for my own work here on the blog, my fiction and non-fiction work, or even outdoor work. While I am NOT complaining, in fact, it goes to show how badly I had slacked in the past and my whining that working online was a ‘feast or faminine’ situtation was so wrong, it was me who wasn’t out there looking for the work. Not only have I found great–good paying work, I’ve found A LOT of it. I did have to take a break on Tuesday though. On Monday I got up and my neighbor down the road knocked on my door…I opened it to find her standing on my porch with a bunch of my goats surrounding her. They got out and made there way all the way to her yard. Oh my. So I locked them up in the barn for the day and when Bob was home on Tuesday we put up new fencing–fun fun, but at least it got me out of the house and away from my computer for awhile.

For The Record

I just figured out how to ‘print screen’ on this laptop… figures right?

Financial health

August 22, 2008 on 10:46 pm | In life | No Comments

Well I tried to copy my screen but apparently I do not have that ability on this laptop. I took a quiz at Bills IQ to see if I was financially fit and actually got a ‘B’ which isn’t too bad. Technically I am fairly fit because I understand my credit score, pay my bills on time, and have an idea of where I’m going and how I am going to manage my retirement. I think this is a really good quiz to take though for everyone even if they think they know what their financial outlook is and especially if they haven’t got a clue, or are stressed by their bills every month.

There is no shame in asking for Debt help when you need it. If it can save you the frustration and worry of paying monthly bills or knowing if you will ever be able to retire and enjoy your golden years then it’s worth it isn’t it? In some cases Debt consolidation can be a big relief when debts have spiraled out of control.

I’m still kind of miffed I couldn’t get a capture of that score I had. I’d like to show it to my husband. I really spend a lot of time learning about finance, security, and credit health. It’s one of the subjects I write often about so I feel pretty good about my knowledge on the subject and yet, taking tests like this help a lot. As you look at the questions you can get an idea of what is important to know and what creditors might consider important to know as well. Most of all, taking tests like this keep you re-evaluating what you think you know about your own financial health.

Whether you need Debt relief, or are financially stable and healthy a little reality check is always a good thing.

You Tube… entertainment… business

August 22, 2008 on 10:14 pm | In life | No Comments

I’m posting this video for several reasons: first, this is the type of animal that makes me seriously consider buying a walking horse, and second to emphasis what a valuable tool You Tube is. It’s not just entertainment, it’s a sales tool if done right. Now this horse was already sold, but it’s easy to see why it sold so easily when you look at this video.

I’ve seen a wide variety of sales videos of all types of animals on YouTube. Some are very professional like the following:

that video is very well done and the contact info directly in the video are superb examples of how to do it right.

The first video is more of an amatuer production BUT it is a perfect example of how anyone can do it ‘right’ and make their animals look good and appealing very easily.

Dealing with the Heat

August 22, 2008 on 7:08 pm | In life | No Comments

With all the heat lately I sure am glad we got out air conditioning compressor fixed this spring. Having all these animals makes it impossible to not go outside and work. There is feeding to be done, clean up needed, and other general chores although I try really hard not to do anything reallyl strenuous in this heat. It’s one thing to have to go outside when you can’t even walk to the barn without breaking out in a heavy sweat, but it’s another thing completely to be so hot and then have to come into a house where you can’t cool down because it is even hotter. I guess it is kind of sad how much we rely on modern technology but I have to admit I don’t know how people in the early 1900’s and before did it. I think I would have found it harder to deal with the cold of winter than the heat of summer, but then again, considering the current weather, I’m not so sure about that.

2 DAYS!

August 22, 2008 on 6:48 pm | In life | No Comments

Wow. I am typing this on my brand new computer. When I found out yesterday that I was wrong about the origin from where my new computer was coming I was sure it would be sometime next week before it got here. I mean it had to come all the way from China and it hadn’t left until the 20th. In fact, it didn’t leave the FedEx origin facility in China until the 21st.

Even FedEx didn’t expect it to get here until Monday. On the tracking page I received upon shipment it said on Monday, August 25 before noon. Today I just happened to check on the progress of the shipment (I love watching the progression of shipments and I don’t usuallly get the chance to see such a long route). Last night it had made it to Anchorage Alaska. That was pretty impressive as it is, but I thought for sure there was no way it would get anywhere near here in Illinois until Monday… WRONG. I checked at 10 am this morning and the FedEx site said ON THE TRUCK FOR DELIVERY!

Oh my goodness I was jumping around for joy. Sure enough at about 11 o’clock I got a phone call. FedEx was checking to see if I was home because the item required a signature (that is a first, I’ve had other packages requiring signatures but it was a UPS delivery and they didn’t call). Usually both FedEx and UPS leave packages in my garage because they don’t require any signature so I was really happy to have them call and alert me to them being a few minutes away so I could look for them. I sure didn’t want to miss this delivery and end up waiting until Monday anyway. LOL

I have my beautiful new laptop now. It’s GREAT.

Steering Clear

August 21, 2008 on 4:22 pm | In life | No Comments

There are certain things in life that most women like me just expect to happen. We expect to open up a laptop and have it turn on, we expect to turn the key of our car and have it start up, we just expect it. We don’t know how it works, we just know certain actions make it happen. The same is true about things like power steering. We don’t know how it works but we know it should work automatically. Boy, when it doesn’t YOU KNOW IT. Your car’s steering box keeps it turning smoothly and easily. Trying to turn without power steering will truly make you appreciate the invention of it. Loosing your power steering unexpectedly can cause serious accidents especially at high speeds that are common on the roads today. People can fix their own cars but for a long time it has been impossible to get the best parts because companies only operated with big garages and auto makers. Now everyone can find great deals on top of the line parts including power steering racks and steering boxes for cars of every make and model.

China NOT Canada!

August 21, 2008 on 4:12 pm | In life | No Comments

You know, for the most part I consider myself reasonably intelligent… usually anyway. I posted yesterday that my new computer should be here by Friday because it was coming from Canada… well, CN—NOT Canada. CN is the abreviation for China. I realized that today (see I AM reasonably intelligent, it is just that sometimes it takes a little while for the lightbulb to come on).

I just wasn’t even expecting to see Canada really. Usually when I order online it is coming from somewhere in the US. So I saw CN (and since we are talking computers a product of electronics I don’t know why I didn’t think Asia) I just assumed Canada… which by the way would have been CA not CN…

anyway, FedEx says the package will be here on Monday before noon. Not too bad considering its coming from CHINA.
