Speaking of pools, Goober apparently has decided that the water dish in his cage is his own personal pool, or bathtub, whichever. Regardless of what he thinks it is, he definately makes a mess with it when he decides to go ‘bathing’.

I’m not sure why it is but the moment winter starts to set in I begin to think of all the things I’d like to do outdoors. We used to have a pool when we first moved here and it was nice but it was just one of the above ground models you can get anywhere. Serious Play

When Goober came here he really didn’t know how to play with toys. He didn’t have any in his cage and obviously didn’t understand the concept. Well, he started slowly a few weeks ago to play with some toys gingerly… last night he got down and dirty though and finally understood the true concept of playtime…

Serious Diet Help

I’ve often wondered about the claims of many of the wonder diet drugs out there. Thankfully there are great reviews for products like Hydroxycut to help gauge the way they work for various individuals. I need some help because these last few months have been a DISASTER on the diet front. I think it’s the stress. I can’t even remember how and why I felt it was so easy last year to lose all that weight. It was. I do remember that. I just can’t seem to find that again and it bothers me daily. I’m about to try some stronger help than I used last month. That seemed to work for a day or two but then stopped.

Introducing Simon

Simon the Sun Conure joined the family here this weekend and has truly become MY bird in every way. He just adores me and wants nothing to do with anyone else. Here are some pictures of simon, in his carrying cage then in his big new cage too and a few just on my shoulder and playing with toys on my shoulder.

I know What I Want For Christmas

I had a long drive the other morning and at times like those I really miss having a watch. I haven’t had one for about a year since my last one got lost and for the most part I’m okay but when I go out I really miss having one. I saw some Oceanus watches that I really liked. I am going to ask Santa for one this Christmas. I’ve been a good girl. My personal Santa likes me to be on time too so I can make that a play for why I need a really good watch. This is probably the first time in years I know exactly what I want for Christmas. Usually I just say, oh I don’t know whatever you think of, dear, I mean Santa.

Playtime

I built a playgym for the birds that I was planning on for a few weeks. Finally got it done and it was WAY easier than I had thought it would be. I bought some 36″ long 1/2″ round dowel rods and cut them appropriately and some PVC pipe corner joints and t joiners and put it all together. Bobby cut the wood in the lengths I marked and I put it together. Added some 1/2″ sisal rope for more climbing and a few toys (added a few more after the pic too) and it was done. It took about 45 minutes to make. It will probably take Goober there 45 weeks to step on it. LOL The big green chicken. i hope Simon likes it better.

Cost of Insurance

I need to get a new set of insurance quotes for my truck soon. Every year I like to see what other companies can do for me at a better price. It’s nice online now because instead of calling from place to place like I used to I can just get all the information from one site. It saves so much time and I get the best deals possible. With the prices of car insurance now you have to save every penny you can although it is still important to make sure the company is solid and the coverage is good. I really need to settle down and check it out now though because the cost is killing me lately.

I wish I could say this was my bird, lol, but I can’t. He’s a REAL cutie though (his little owner isn’t too bad herself) and I am trying so hard to get my guys to do the ‘kiss’ noise he does so well.
